Death takes the form of Water…
Faith in the future, and an oath to the gods. The wish of an examinee.
With vestiges of a distant hometown, the prologue begins.

Now…the water surface hums a calm lullaby…
Luring… numerous islands to lazy slumber…

Their vestiges

Are somehow nostalgic
Yet so very heartbreaking

The wind sweeps away a tear

Those are-
Memories of a blue day
The ground shook, trembled, shook and trembled

With angry roars above us
The ocean
soars up

And death approaches us with not a care in the world

Tearing down all that mankind has built up with ease

The ordinary days that I have loved
And my important <grandmother, parents, sister and pet dog>[family]
Were all swallowed
Into the depths of the cold waters late spring…

I left my hometown and found myself under a distant sky
Cursing the world against a beautiful dusk

Why me…and only me?
I couldn’t find the meaning of being left alive…

Feeling throbs of guilt…
I lived in depravity…

However

-During a landslide caused by heavy rain
I once again lost <my distantly related foster parents>[my family]

At the end of it

My feelings of despair sparked a blazing flame
Shining brightly within me

I shall dedicate this life that I was given
To save many more
Though once lost
My reignited wish for tomorrow
Is now crammed into my backpack
And I run up-

“I see…so this is what people have come to call Yomotsu Hirasaka, known for breaking the will of many visitors. No wonder it went viral!”
