Dreams Brought by the Night’s Sin

Soaring up, crumbling down. The desire of the mother

With recurring nightmares, the prologue begins.

The night’s <sin>[karma]...never to be forgiven…

Brings me dreams of sadness...even now…

Dreams of my child...carried by a reed boat…

Disappearing to darkness beyond...

These wishes of a foolish mother…much like bubbles…

Are fragile, and keep disappearing into nothing…

So...in an attempt to keep this newly lit flame burning…

I named this child Hiruko*…

But it was all for nothing…

*lit: Child that keeps a flame in place. However, the kanji is written differently from Izaki’s child.

And…

If he were alive

I’m sure he would’ve grown into a cheerful and energetic boy…

Ah...this time for sure...even if I were to be branded by blue sin…

I want to bear this next child...to not lose him...and to embrace him with a smile…

I will share everything with you...the noisy mornings...the sleepless nights

Any mother would wish for their child’s happiness-

From the pits of <despair>[darkness]...

I saw a slope leading towards <hope>[light]-

I run up…

“This is...Hiashi Shirogane shrine?”
